Greenfield McClain Alumni Class Of 1960-1969

Living in Frankfort Ohio with my wife I have two children Amanda and Thomas. I am still farming have retired from my job. This is a neat site hopefully we see more of the 60’s crew on board.

Married in 1969, had 1 son. Worked 6 years at The Gossett Company. Worked at Greenfield Printing/Banta/RR Donnelly for 27 years. Retired when they closed the plant. Single now.

After 47 years away I’m back home to help take care of my mother. I have two boys. One a teacher in Worthington and one in construction in Colorado Springs,Co. I do home-dec sewing and alterations.

Graduated in 1960, served in US Navy, lived in CA and graduated from Cal-State University at Fullerton. Taught US Government & US History at McClain for 26 year and retired in 1996. I’ve been actively engaged in several businesses and currently spend much of my time writting for my blog at www.lechap.com (Chapman’s General Store). Married to Janet Michael and we have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.

I checked out the website and saw that there were no 1960s grads listed yet. I thought I should let the world know that aging Baby Boomers can use computers too! After gradution I went to Ohio University and got a degree in journalism. I have been a newspaper and magazine editor and am currently serving as clerk of the Highland County Court in Greenfield. I still enjoy writing, and have had a blog going for several years at www.coffeyweb.com. I also play guitar in a classic rock band called Dumbfounded. My wife Dianna and I have two sons, Colin and Wade, and a new daughter-in-law (Wade’s wife Susan).

Work for law firm in downtown Dayton for last 15 years. Live in Centerville.

Live outside of Cincinnati. Have two daughters, one son all grown. Lived in Wash., DC after high school; then Providence, RI; Philadelphia, PA; now Cincy. Work at an advertising agency in downtown Cincy for the last 15 years. Serve on a couple boards, one working with children’s shelter for abused children. Love to travel!

Still in Greenfield. Have 4 kids & 6 grandkids. Going to SSCC for Business Management. Love to hike and spend time with kids.

After graduating I joined the Navy for four years. Came back to Greenfield for a year or so and then moved to Houston. I now live in a small town, Friendswood, about half way between Houston and Galveston, Texas. The wife and I have been married since 1970 and have two children and two grandchildren with more on the way. I would love to hear from anyone if you graduated in 66 or not.

Too much to tell in this small block. Currently farming with farmer Jim Greenlee. Been married, divorced and widowed. Had two children, down to one. Two grandchildren…..see all you 64’s at next years reunion, write for details.

Graduated from Greenfield McClain H.S. with the Class of 1962. Received my BS degree in Education from Wilmington College in Health, Physical Education and Biology. Received my Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Wright State University in 1975. Taught in the Dayton Public School from 1967-76. Served as a teacher, coach and administrative intern. Served in an administrative capacity for 22.5 year with the Trotwood-Madison School District. First as an assistant principal at the high school for 9 years and personnel director for 12.5 years. I retired in December of 1998. October 15, 2002, I was employed by the Montgomery County Juvenile Court as building principal where I’m currently employed (April 23, 2011).

I live in Greenfield and after trying out a few different types of jobs my husband Bill and I own a retail store in Washington CH for the last 30 years. I have 3 children and 3 step daughters. We have 17 grandchildren 9 greatgrandkids and one on the way in April. I am a master gardner and am active with the Greenfield Lions Club and the McClain Alumni Association. We attend the United Methodist Church where I help teach a sunday school class. As you see I keep pretty busy and I am lucky enough to get to baby sit some of my grandsons who live close by.

I GRADUATED FROM THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY WITH A BS AND MS IN AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION. I TAUGHT VO-AG FOR 7 YEARS AND HORTICULTURE FOR 1 YEAR. I WORKED AS A CARPENTER AT AN AMUSEMENT PARK IN DUNDEE,ILL FOR 9 YEARS, NIGHT SHIFT COORDINATOR FOR HOMES OF MENTALLY DISABLED ADULTS FOR 20 YEARS AND CURRENTLY WORKING AS A CROP ADJUSTER. I KEEP A COUPLE BEEF COWS AS WELL AS A COUPLE HONEYBEE HIVES TO KEEP BUSY WHEN NOT WORKING MY CROP ADJUSTER JOB. MY WIFE,NORMA JEAN, IS A RETIRED VETERINARIAN [30 YRS WITH USDA]. WE HAVE 5 GROWN DAUGHTERS AND 4 GRANDCHILDREN .

class of 64, have lived in the richmond, va. area for the past 35 years have worked for cvs pharmacy for those 35 years. have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.

Served in the U.S. Marines 1964-1968. Two tours in Viet Nam. Went to school at Capital University, Columbus, Ohio and Franklin University, Columbus, Ohio. Studied business. Spent my career in conveyor systems until I retired in January 2000. Tired of traveling and living in a Motel. I play guitar and piano as well as do a little song writing. Love golf and hunting. Married to Donna. Have a son Patrick 40 lost my youngest son Philip 34 last year. Also have a step-daughter Amy 39. Have several grandkids. Arkansas is great place to live. I’m a Rotarian, work with Hospice and active in my church and the Gideons.

I left Greenfield my junior year and actually graduated from Wash.C.H.. But I’ve always been a Tiger at heart. Have lived in Kansas for 30yrs.

Still consider Greenfield my “hometown” after all these years. Because I was adopted early in life I was Neal Smith during my school years. Served 23 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, 14 years as a public school administrator in Florida and the last 8 years with Daytona State College. Time certainly goes fast. We plan to be residents in Greenfield once my wife, Nancy, decides she wants to retire. She is an elementary school teacher. We have two grown & married children and our 5th grandchild should arrive Feb. 2013.

Married Linda Phillips (Leesburg, Ohio) July 21, 1963. Have three children Doug (66) and twins Heath & Heather(71). Retired in Hillsboro doing the golf & bowling thing.

Graduate of Ohio State University with BSED and MBA in Hospital and Health Care Administration. Retired LTC US Army Medical Service Corps

Still living in Greenfield. Retired. Engaged to Lois Pointer. Instigator, trouble maker, on the GOFF site. Have a flock of hens on the GOFF site, also. I’m still a Street Rod, Custom Car Nut. I hear the hens cackling, so it must be feedin’ time. Better get them fed. Everyone take care. Later !

Graduated MHS 1967 and went to the University of Cincinnati for both my BSNursing and MSNursing. Lived in Cincy till 1989 with my two boys, Matthew and David. Moved to Tempe, Arizona and work as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in private practice. I still come back to Greenfield yearly and expect to build on my property north of town and be a \”snow-bird\” going back and forth between Arizona and Ohio once I retire. My older son Matthew died at almost 24 years old in a bicycle accident in 2001. He was engaged and pursuing his PhD in Genetics. My younger son David, now 26 is married, working and living in Arizona.

We left Greenfield in 1962, and moved to Ponce, Puerto Rico. I attended Cazenovia College from 1964-1966 (2 year College), and attended Syracuse University and graduated in 1968. I have been married to my husband Lonny for nine years. I will br turning 65 this November and looking forward to retirement. I’m thrilled to have found so many long lost friends through Facebook!

Following graduation, I worked as a lifeguard at Rocky Fork Lake and then went to Ohio University (B.S. in Zoology). Married Linda Sadler (MHS 1962). Worked in Public Health in Athens, Ohio and then onto U.C. Berkeley (MPH)and finally to University of Michigan for a doctorate in Public Health. Linda and I have two living children and three grandchildren. We have both retired from the University of Georgia and spend time at our grandsons’ baseball games and grandaughter’s gymnastics meets.

I worked at the Greenfield Hospital in the laboratory during and after high school where I met my husband Daryl during Christmas in 1962. We married in 1963 and have been married 48 years and have 4 children (2 living) and 3 grandchildren. After Greenfield, I worked in Medical laboratories at Ohio University and in Massilon. After time in California, Michigan, and Illinois we moved to Georgia where I recently retired after 26 years as a Senior Scientific Administrator of the Center for Computational Chemistry. Daryl and I follow our grandchildren’s athletic activities (the 2 grandsons in baseball and our grandaughter in gymnastics).

I actually didn’t graduate at McClain I went on to graduate at Jefferson Adult Ed. Then, Apollo, Lima OH Early Childcare degree. I worked in childcare. I raised six children, three of my own, three step. Now, I am HAPPILY divorced three times. I’ve lived all over, now back in Greenfield, as a full time caregiver. Eventually graduated from The Ohio State University College of Engineering with a BSc in Ceramic Engineering (8/73) Worked in advanced materials research and technical publishing. Currently retired.

I am still buying and selling antiques…. attend auctions in the Greenfield area quite often …. would love to hear from some old class mates…and do we have a reunion coming up?

Graduated in 1962 then went to Ohio State graduating in 1966 in Nursing. Much later received Master’s from Ohio University. I spent most of my work years in home health in Zanesville, OH. Pat and I retired to Florida in 2006 and enjoy the sunshine. Most surprising thing about getting so close to the 50 year mark since graduation…is how fast it all goes. A friend of mine just celebrated her 64th birthday and said how differently she thinks about the Beatles song \”when I’m 64.\” I see some of you on Facebook but have no idea what my url is there…so I just added my name. Hope all is well and hope to see more of you on here.

I work at Ferno-Washington in Wilmington, Ohio. All my children are grown and I am very proud of all of them. All my spare time I give to selling hunting equipment on my website that my son Todd made for me. (www.ohioturkeyhunter.net) I also travel throughout Ohio at festivals selling my hunting equipment out of a booth, which we enjoy very much. If you like, you can e-mail me and we can catch up.

Married 47 years with 3 adult children and six grandchildren with one granddaughter being 2018 division 2 state shot put champion. Graduated from OU with degrees in engineering and later nursing. Worked for RCA/Thomson Electronics for 32 years in Process Engineering and as RN for 10 years in Ross and Pike Ohio counties. Currently retired.

I really love this new site, pretty classy! I live 8-miles south of Chapel Hill NC with my partner Linda. I have one son (Mark), Daughter-in-law (Susan) and two grandchildren (Kelsey & Jackson) who live in Piedmont SC. I’m still doing electrical engineering for healthcare and university buildings. I should be able to retire in a couple of years. Wow, time goes by fast!! Linda is a lighting designer doing designs for residential and commercial projects. She also dabbles as an artist, she’s very good. I missed the ‘Ravens’ and ‘The Distinguished Order of Sound’ bands so much that I bought another set of drums this year and started playing again. Ha, I play using my Ipod now. Played a set with the Eagles the other day ‘Get over it’ ?? After 50-years of water skiing I had to give it up, too much wear and tear on the shoulders. I still ride the Harley and Linda and I go to Maggie Valley almost every year with our ‘Gang’. We usually terrorize the town with our geriatric antics (say that five times real fast). Also working on restoring a 1966 GTO, Hmmmm just what I need with gas at $2.80 a gallon, oh well. I will try to make it to the next class reunion.
